I had the Greg Norman which was wagyu beef with blue cheese. I did not expect the blue cheese to be so overwhelming and halfway through I switched it up for the bf’s Texan Burger which was so much nicer! The burgers were tasty and juicy, but I was still a little disappointed as I didn’t feel it lived up to the hype and definitely didn’t feel it was worth $50++ for 2. Really loved the chunky (real) onion rings though!

The Keu Ppong Cream was like Carbonara but tastier and less jelak (though towards the end it was still abit overwhelming). The bf had Ro Ppong Roje which consisted of slightly spicy tomato cream sauce and loaded with cheese! 2 light eaters can easily share one pasta. I’m not a big fan of the noodle texture though; it was slightly chewy like the Korean glass noodles.

To be honest, the lobster bisque was damn disappointing and I felt the drink was not needed. But the deal was still worth it as just the lobster roll alone usually costs $16! Really satisfying for a quick lobster roll fix.

We ordered the Prawn Aglio Olio ($18) and Carbonara ($16). Loved the Carbonara which had a strong mushroom taste and wasn’t too jelak but couldn’t stomach the spiciness of the Aglio Olio. Chilli lovers would love it though! Overall, great taste but I wouldn’t pay full price for it just because it’s hand made. 😕 Oh, shoutout to the awesome young staff who served us. Very enthusiastic, warm and friendly. Great service! 👍🏻

There are plenty of vegetarian options at @pizzaexpresssg and @harriet_koh chose this Giardiniera pizza! I tried one piece and we agreed it was pretty good but could do with more toppings.

Situated by the river, their al fresco section gives off super chill vibes and I thought that was good enough but then I needed to use the washroom and saw the LIFT(?!?!!!) when I ventured indoors. Yes, they don’t use stairs but have a LIFT instead for their 2-storey restaurant!! I was (and still am, evidently) in awe. And their toilets are amazingly quaint, making me feel like I was in a cottage somewhere in Germany. Really a lot of effort put into the decor.
Of course, the food was awesome as usual! Made even better by the fact that there was a 50% cashback thanks to @shopbackgo. I had the hearty Birkenwald burger, filled with mushrooms and sour cream sauce; my friend had the Seelenheil, which was part of their vegetarian menu with a spinach and cheese patty. The latter was a little salty but very flavorful. We also had a side of onion rings which stayed crispy long after it was served and I was most pleasantly surprised by the crepe (didn’t manage to get a photo of that), which I expected to be just a normal crepe, but they actually used hazelnut chocolate sauce and I’m 90% sure they use Haagen Dazs ice cream too! Will definitely be going back.

The classic one came with crust which was so soft and chewy, unlike any other pizza I’ve had! But I still preferred the thin crust pizza; less crust, more toppings! Thanks @entertainersg for helping me to save once again! 🥳
