What to eat in Malaysia
Enjoy some chunky, crispy yet tender chicken bites (RM9.80) from J&G Fried Chicken amidst your Christmas shopping!
Oh yaaaas! All fellow chocoholics, this is the ultimate Chocolate Croissant (RM2.64) that you must try. A whole milk chocolate bar sandwiched in the buttery and flaky croissant then drizzled with more chocolate and sprinkled with chocolate bits. 😍 Did I mention one is only for RM2.64 (less than SGD$1)? GRAB THE BASKET!! 😆
The recent cool weather might be the best time to enjoy satay along the street without worrying the heat and sweat. Found this moist and lovely-charred Chicken & Beef Satay combo for just RM13. 😋
Stir up the thick and gooey gula melaka with the evaporated milk in the middle and teh (black tea) on the top, the perfect blend to start my Monday.
Weighing considerably massive at 500g, this thick slab of grilled stingray (RM30) is full of moist and succulent meat. That layer of chilli immediately warms up my tummy on this cool evening.
More of that creamy sauce is welcome in my Buttermilk Prawns (RM28) and the highlight is the subtle peppery flavour from the curry leaves. 😋
My eat-and-regret-later breakfast - Penang Fried Kway Teow (RM5). That glossy and spring rice noodles stir-fried in sweet dark sauce accompanied with chunks of egg and seafood. Full of oomph! 😋
I love the Salmon Sashimi & Tempura Don (RM35) from Shoya Sushi Dining at Isetan located in Lot 10 KL! I get to enjoy salmon two ways - raw fresh sashimi and crispy fried tempura! Laid beautifully on a bowl of fluffy Japanese rice and served with miso soup. 😋
Sashimi & Grilled Fish Set (RM55) has thick cuts of salmon and maguro sashimi, and a sizeable saba with fresh and succulent meat that came off the bones effortlessly. 😘
I'm familiar with fried bananas, but fried durian and fried pineapples?! Gotta try them all at Jalan Alor! The batter of the bananas was a tad thick but it was crispy and the banana was super sweet. The pineapple was probably too moist as the batter became a little soggy. Fried durian was the obvious winner. The creamy and smooth durian erupted with that pungent yet fragrant aroma. 😍 Awesome!
It's SUPPER TIME! These colourful dim sum babies are selling at only RM10 for 8pcs. Say "whaaat?!" 😆 Satisfying comfort food along Jalan Alor on a cool night like this~
Why am I always hungry? Rescued my tummy by having this gorgeous Fried Carrot Cake (RM5) for supper! 😋
