A small ice cream stall stands in a corner at the Nagasaki Peace Park. The uncle swiftly shapes the ice cream into a flower. How gorgeous! At the same time, it could not be more apt at this tranquil place. 🌹

Must try this Onion Potato Chips from Saga! Slightly thick but crunchy and filled with natural sweet and savoury flavours of its local produce - onions. It's so good that we finished this big bag of chips in just minutes. 😋

The one thing I absolutely love about staying at an onsen resort/hotel is that dinner is all prepped and ready upon my return from onsen. 😚 Tempura and chawanmushi are still hot, I just have to enjoy my sashimi while grilling the pork, mushrooms and veggies. 😋

Sake (Japanese wine) for breakfast, anyone? 酒饅頭 are Japanese steamed buns with red bean filling and the skin is made of liquor and flour. 😋 Selling at just ¥90, the steaming hot sweet bun warmed me up in this cold morning of 10°C. 🤗

Fukuoka is famous for its Amaou Strawberries. Known to be aesthetically beautiful, they are so glossy and red (#nofilter). Of course, pride to be more than just good looks, these strawberries have strong sweet scent and super juicy! 😘 Be sure to go on a strawberry-picking tour when you are here and ask if they have Amaou Strawberries in advance. 😉

At Marine Center Osakanamura, enjoy shopping for souvenirs and very affordable and fresh seafood on L1. Then proceed to dine at its eatery upstairs on the L2. Squid is the specialty in this region so the recommended meal will be this Squid Kaiseki Lunch Set (¥2880). 😘

The set comes with squid sashimi, squid tempura (😋 yummy!), squid siew mai (not in picture), DIY stir-fry pork with beansprouts, chawanmushi, pickled vegetables, soup, rice and dessert.

Get to enjoy Sakura Mochi Ice Cream when you fly to/from Japan with Singapore Airlines! The taste is quite subjective because not everyone is a fan of the artificial sakura flavour. 😅 But I can't help to be a little disappointed to find the plain-looking mochi ice cream since there is a cute Detective Conan on the packaging.

Sakura mochi ice cream (¥280) has tiny balls of rice cake, giving this sweet sakura-infused treat a nice chewy bite. 😘

Don't shy away from going to Moomin Bakery & Cafe just because you are alone, the staff will lead you to a table to dine with one of these cute companions. 😍 Get to enjoy Finnish dishes with Japanese touch~ Just as some of you have guessed, the food is not out-of-the-world amazing but the experience of immersing in the world of Moomin was definitely memorable. ☺️

Topped with fruits, whipped cream and a piece of 'Little My' white chocolate, the Matcha Muffin (¥700) was moist and baked to the right degree of firmness. I was surprised to find red bean paste in the muffin but they did went predictably well together. 😋

Served with mashed potatoes, brocoli and berries, the Scandinavian Bold Meatballs (¥1200) from Moomin Cafe does remind me of the familiar favourite at IKEA restaurant. But the texture is much more tender with harmonious notes of cinnamon spice. 😋
