Located on the ground floor of Park Hotel Clarke Quay, Porta boasts a cosy laidback vibe with debonair colonial influences — ideal for a business meeting over lunch. Go for their value-for-money two-course ($18) and three-course ($22) set lunches which are straightforward and come in good portions. There are two to three options for every course, of which our Burpple community recommends the chilled angel hair pasta to start. Burppler Wuu Yyiizzhhoouu describes the dish as "surprisingly simple and delightful with a strong truffle aroma". Get the haddock fillet as your main — the latter comes priced at $26 as an a la carte dinner item, so this is a steal! You must end the meal with the refreshing coconut blancmange ($12) which features smooth, creamy coconut custard topped with tangy passionfruit coulis.
Avg Price: $25 per person

Ezo Hokkaido East is keeping a secret from us. They generously covered this rice bowl with slices of medium well grilled USA beef steak and squeezed lots of creamy French foie gras sauce. And they sprinkled shaved truffles on top! 😲 The shaved truffles were not mentioned in the description on the menu. No wonder this rice bowl is extravagantly priced at $18. However, it costs $9.90 (inclusive of a soft drink) for weekday lunch from 11.30am to 2.30pm except public holidays. What a steal! 😘
