I love mala anything and this one was deliciously tangy with a nice, smoldering burn. I'd say it was perfect, but it was too greasy for my liking, and the chicken chop doesn't help. Definitely worth trying just the same.
Tastewise, it was delicious and perfectly crunchy, sweet, and salty. But the serving size was such a disappointment - only one thin waffle and two small pieces of chicken for $24 (before service charge and GST). Not really the best value for money and I was far from satisfied after the meal.
I was hoping for a healthier breakfast so I skipped the pancakes for the French toast instead. Turns out the crispiness comes from being deep-fried in batter, so I guess it wasn't as healthy as I'd hoped, but I did say no to the ice cream it's usually topped with. Overall it was alright, but I should have asked to have the berry compote on the side, as the toast was drowning in it. I enjoyed brunch at Group Therapy nonetheless and I look forward to trying the pumpkin pancake next time!
Buttery and not too sweet, just how I like it.
It's just as delicious as it looks, and not too sweet. I don't recommend having it for breakfast on its own; you're going to be craving something savoury after the fourth or fifth bite.
