[老妈子板面 / grandma ban mee, #01-07] A new ban mian stall has popped up in Amoy. Menu has only three types of ban mian : chilli, soup and dry. Noodles were quite q and I actually enjoyed the chilli! Wasn't too spicy. Balachan(?) on the counter was pretty intense though. appetizing bowl of noodles and they were quite generous with their ingredients of minced meat, earthy mushroom and black fungus. ($5)

Superb lunch option along Boat Quay for the CBD folks! Quite a far walk from my office that my colleague jokingly mentioned that our lunch would've been digested when we walk back to office! But nothing stops us from reaching these yummy dons. Mine was fried chicken bites with sweet teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and finished with a perfect onsen egg. Comes with a side salad with my favorite kind of sesame dressing and miso soup. Isn't it super worth it?

Quite a hearty meal of creamy grains cooked to perfection, succulent prawns with flavourful garlicky curry spice.

2nd visit to Wolf Burgers, since we loved it so much we had to go for The Alpha ($14.90). 2x juicy medium rare beef patties, cheese, caramelised onions and lettuce slap onto 2 toasted buns for 2x the satisfaction! Math done right 😊👍🏻

A good deal at $6.50 for a medium bowl. The chashu meat was so tender, and the hot spring egg was so soft, bouncy and yummy!! Will definitely be back for more!! :p

Affordable lunch sets are hard to come by, even more so in the CBD. Thankfully, there's always Katanashi's Lunch Set ($12) to fall back on — this Boat Quay joint is just a short stroll from Raffles Place MRT Station. There are 10 rice bowls to choose from, and each comes with a side salad and miso soup. Go for the Unatama Don, grilled eel coated in a sweet soy sauce glaze, or the Chicken Teritama Don, deep-fried chicken drizzled with teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise, served with an onsen egg.
