Satisfyingly delicious and crisp waffles (though they could be more fragrant) and generous scoops of hazelnut chocolate and green tea ice-cream! (When you try to not be so sinful by having green tea😂)
Such a steal as they are having 50% off all items currently! Simply like and share their picture on facebook to get a membership. We had the lava toast with speculoos sauce(inside) and ferrero rocher ice-cream. (Premium flavour so top-up 50cents) They don't allow sampling of ice-cream though. The toast was crisp and had lots of sauce and speculoos butter inside and went really well with the ice-cream. There was pink frosting on the side, with colourful sprinkles, cereals, and chocolate sauce drizzled all over the plate. There was even an ice-cream cone-super aesthetic, and very value-for-money!
Can never stomach all 4 but can't resist ordering the exotic flavours such as matcha and red bean! Each bowl costs $2, I chose matcha, redbean, sesame and peanut tangyuan. The sesame and peanut reign supreme, with the fillings smooth. The matcha and redbean are a tad bit too sticky. But matcha flavour's real cool. The peanut soup was delish, not too sweet. Don't take away as they give you a very small container with little soup.
The whoaffles with gula melaka sauce($6)were really woah😍 The sauce requires $0.50 top-up. It was a huge, slightly crisp yet soft, aromatic waffle with a cute angular shape. We also ordered the brownie which comes with a scoop of cookies and cream ice-cream. The brownie was meh, tad bit dry and also not so much a brownie but rather a dry cake texture. The ice-cream paired really well with the brownie. Super cosy place to chill and catch-up!
Finally tried the oozey matcha cream bun-the filling was generous and the bun was soft. Matcha taste was not too strong. It felt like eating an ice-cream filled bun as the bun was cold-definitely a unique experience! Won't mind trying the other flavours👍
For $11.50, I would say this is quite a steal. I saw them butter the bread exterior with butter(oh so sinful) but this made the bread so crisp on the outside. The inside was still soft and went real well with the thai ice-cream. How they make a crisp exterior and fluffy interior makes me wonder-the top is also covered with a sorta speculoos butter spread as well. Whipped cream on the side too:)
Chunky softserve topped with generous servings of oreo cookie and crumbs! The marshmallow fluff was torched and went well with the wafer cone. The softserve however didn't have a distinct taste; it tasted slightly like froyo, not too sweet-I guess this is to prevent a sugar rush as the other toppings provide sweetness. It is quite fun to dig in and have your ingredients spilling onto the paper plate😂 Nice place to chill out with friends and family as it isn't too crowded as well.
Travelled all the way to Tanjong Pagar for this matcha softserve, and it didn't disappoint! Though it was pricey, $5.90 for a cup of softserve, it was a great TGIF treat! The matcha taste was distinct, and softserve was very smooth. You can tell it's the real, pure stuff as it doesn't melt easily. The size is just right for a sweet treat-not too overwhelming. The biscuit was crisp and it went well with the softserve. Only qualm is there's no seating available, so you have to stand and eat😂 Authentic Matcha softserve👍🍦
Ooey-gooey molten chocolate flowing out from the perfectly warm lava cake😍 The cake was delicately placed atop a crunchy almond brittle and dusted with powdered sugar. Cutting into the cake gives you a sense of awe as the chocolate drips onto the ice-cream; You could taste the orange in the ice-cream, which mixed really well the soft cake, molten chocolate and almond brittle. Definitely a winner but the scoop of ice-cream could have been larger(maybe we're just greedy)! Quite expensive though but really an interesting experience!
Layers of cream sandwiched between crepe layers(supposedly 20😂) Quite a light, airy dessert which I like after dinner-we had the signature vanilla flavour😄 Along with osmanthus sencha tea-the smell was so pleasant! However, they don't give us the tea leaves so...:/ Overall, quite a nice dessert-but slightly pricey($9) Not worth crazy long queues
Strawberry Basil($4.70) Love the botanical flavours available- so different, yet refreshing! The whole set-up was very clean and pleasing as well! Staff were slightly inexperienced though, but generally friendly and willing to help.
The Spiced Apple Cake($8) was presented beautifully. It was served in a hotpan, and the pastry(not so much cake) had apples and raisins within. Eating the warm pastry with the cold vanilla gelato together is just the perfect combination of hot and cold.
