Never goes wrong. Lotsa prawns and a surprising ingredient: water chestnut, for the extra crunch! 😋😋😋😋😋😋
Ordered the one with the pork ribs. Definitely one of the best best best prawn mee I've eaten. Although the price might be a bit above the norm but it was totally worth it. The prawns were sweet and fresh (saw the auntie take it out from a pile of ice too). Soup was as rich as it could get and noodles were perfectly done.
The hawker was a pretty damn hot tho. Dress light!
We went around 7pm on a Friday night and its was pretty quiet but the ppl around me were mostly having the Hokkien mee. Waiting time was only around 5 minutes and it was visually very pleasing 😍 Very generous with the ingredients of squid, pork belly, prawn and clams. Wasn't super spectacular but it was still pretty good!
Old town's Nasi Lemak have always been one of my go to when I'm looking for a good Nasi lemak. Their Chilli have little slices of onions in it as well which I'm quite obsessed with. And their rice is nicely cooked and flavourful without clumping together. The crispy chicken's got a good crunch and taste super good!! Must try!
They are having some lunch/dinner promo that's $8.90++ for the Nasi lemak and a drink (I got iced teh tarik). They have other mains as well such as their noodle dishes.
Yup, mee sua!! So interesting! This store sells everything for $3.50 from lormee to bachormee. This dish is basically barchomee with meesua. Finished it in a zoom. Might still be hungry after that but it's worth a try. The auntie and Uncle is very friendly and cute ^^ beware tho, during lunch time, the queue is CRAAZYYY long
