This is going to sound so unsophisticated, but it's basically a slab of sashimi BUT sprinkled with some really yummy green stuff. I'm serious. I'm not able to articulate fancy food well on a Tuesday night, but this is good. Would recommend!

I have this impression that duck confit tend to be really dry. Probably some form of childhood trauma #firstworldproblems. But this duck confit is juicy enough, and the mashed potatoes and the mushrooms do add to the juiciness of it all.
That being said, this is not something that I would rave about, nor would this be a dish that I would cling on to the next time I visit Saveur, but it's still OK.
