Johor Bahru
Generous with their ingredients but service is bit slow. We found ants on our table crawling which was slightly unpleasant. The rice cracker pizza was an interesting one which I will recommend. Their seafood pot is great value with the sheer abundance of seafood. Check out

Look no further to enjoy a sumptuous bowl of ramen while in you in Jb. Having spent a good amount of time simmering in the pot with pork bones, you know the broth is going to be lovely. The yakitori are lightly seasoned to bring out their natural flavours and goes well with the ramen. Check out

Rustic dining restaurant in the heart of taman Sentosa serving up the legacy of its founders dating back to 1975. With more than 20 stores all over the country, you know you are in good hands for a comforting pot of soup. The broth is not peppery like our singapore version and you can add on items like Pacific clams, mushrooms, fish maw and a host of other ingredients. The claypot chicken is another must try and goes very well with rice.

Lovey meal at the vastly popular korean restaurant right in city Square. Grill and cooked food patrons are separated so not everyone will smell like bbq after. The haemul pajeon which is the korean version of seafood pancake goes very well with the dipping suace. The crispy exterior enters every mouthful with a satisfying crunch. The number of side dishes provided are also very generous. Try the dduk jjim to spice up your life

Awesome experience at the cafe that seems like the botanical gardens has been brought before my eyes. Lots of flora and fauna decorated the ground floor and the 2nd level had very colourful furniture. The pan fried salmon is a picture of art with the assemble of greens as a bedding for the Salmon. The generous serving of greens make it healthy and absolutely delicious with the myriad of textures. The beef stew is another must try with the tender cuts absorbing the flavours of tasty stew. Dressed in a cool wine glass, the cold brew is refreshing and smooth. We also tried the café Brulee which as the name suggest came with a coating of caramelised sugar. It was an interesting combination which we enjoyed. The food items were lacklustre and one should consider their cakes and coffee only in my opinion. Check out below for in depth review

Revisited Paik's pan to try their famous Dakgalbi and it did not disappoint. Full of flavours and the chicken and beef (meats we chose) were marinated well. The smell while service crew was stir frying them make us salivate and can't wait to start digging in. They were very generous with the cheese and it was a joy for our sights to grab cheese strands out of the pan. Added the rice after as per usual korean style and they absorb the flavours well but was not as crispy as I hope. Overall very enjoyable meal and can't wait to be back for more.

Great Coffee at this cool cafe. The approach was quality over quantity with its menu and boy were the Pancakes great. A vial of chocolate sauce was included in the dish to let patrons have fun drizzle the luscious liquid onto the Pancakes which were beautifully plated.

Like a huge cloud served to you, the dessert is definitely a head turner. Love the interaction with the dessert where we have to pour the espresso into the mix and which the cloud of candyfloss melt into oblivion, revealing a cup of caffeine infused ice cream. Fun and tasty! Check out the link for in depth review

Good range of Japanese food at this popular Japanese chain. Sashimi platter is all right and will be much better if served on a bed of ice. Tuna was slightly on the mushy side. The Salmon mentai is melt in the mouth good and a definite must try. Check out detailed review below

Fresh fish head combined with flaming curry broth drizzle over a bowl of steaming rice. The recipe for a perfect lunch. This curry fish head is easily one of the best if not the best for its rich broth and generous ingredients. The fried bean curd skin provided a different crispy texture and enhanced the overall dish. The queue are snaking long and it is quite usual to queue for 30-45 minutes. Be prepared to share a table if you are coming in a party of 2.
