Lovely dim sum lunch with a daily promotion ongoing now for Marina Square branch!

There’s a new item (not pictured cos we were too busy tucking in!) where you can choose between half roast duck or whole roast duck and they will serve it in 4 cooking methods - peking duck, duck with noodles or fried rice, a soup and duck with salad sauce wrapped in vegetable roll. I felt it was rather value for money as you can try a variety of dishes ☺️👍🏻

Their dim sum were freshly prepared and piping hot as well. Service was friendly and attentive. The staff were constantly checking our teapot and if we needed new clean plates, and clearing the table of the empty ones.

Would definitely be back again!

The family's favourite place for dim sum - perhaps the only(?) place that still serves dim sum using trolleys. Aunties pushing out different varieties of dim sum and the popular kinds getting swarmed with the enthusiastic diners who decided they cant wait. Very old school. Very old HK. Very authentic ambience(minus their attempt to decorate the place with Xmas-y decor😆).

Personally i don't think ALL their dim sum are that good. The siew mai is definitely good! Generous shrimps and thin dumpling skin👍🏼Close second would be the liu sha bao. The liu sha was a good balance of sweet & savoury and most importantly it is grainy; which in my opinion should always be the case. Those smooth kind just taste so "artificial". I like the ming xia jiao but only when it is still hot when served.

Overall I feel the charm is in the ambience. It is definitely what keeps us going back. There is really no place quite like this anymore here in SG.

super generous with a big fat prawn in each siu mai; stuffed with pork and topped with a crown of crab roe.

This looks pretty yet little weird for something you put in your tummy. But i think that's why i like Mitzo. They are not afraid to be different in their food presentation. The prawns were big and juicy. The dumpling skin was just right. Not too thick that it makes you feel like you're chewing rubber. Not too thin that it breaks and the precious filling drops out before it reaches your plate(or mouth). The purple addition didn't affect the taste though in my opinion. Not sure if it was supposed to?

This doesn't look like much but it taste good, really~~ cubes of super soft tofu deep fried to give a crisp outer layer and then tossed with crushed spicy seaweed to flavour. 好吃! Very addictive too!

One of the best custard buns I've eaten. Creamy salted egg custard oozing out of possibly the coolest looking bao. A tad watery though. Be ready with a spoon to save that golden liquid so it doesn't go to waste. Finger lickin' good👍
