Rich, slightly spicy nduja contrasted against creamy burrata on top of tangy sourdough đź’Ż
Squid ink, pistachio pesto, spiced sprout salad. The crispy squid ink shell revealed tender flaky fish. One of my faves of the meal.
We ordered this in addition to the Restaurant Week set dinners. It took a long time to come, but kudos to the wait staff and kitchen cos they sent over croquettes for us to enjoy on the house while we waited for this. Every grain of rice was chock full of flavour but if I had to nitpick - prawns were a little overcooked and I wish there were more crusty bits. Think Binomio's paella has an edge over this.
We only got this cos they ran out of the clams, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Fresh and plump mussels with a slightly spicy seafood broth that was very addictive. Usually not a fan of mussels but this was good.
Sorta like a Spanish pizza with caramelised onions, roasted peppers, manchego cheese and arugula. Loved the bread, but I would have preferred slightly less arugula.
This brought me back to the last time I was in Spain. Warm and soft pillowy, with egg surrounding layers of soft potatoes and onions. Perfectly seasoned and great with the aioli.
Piping hot and not at all greasy. Perfect with the dark chocolate dip. Way better than Common Man's!
Least favourite of the night. Still tasty, but felt it was a tad under-seasoned and under-salted. Which is strange for a dish with chorizo.
Super savoury pork belly that melted in the mouth, and sweet chewy razor clams that were fresh. One of my favourites.
I usually don't have a great impression of croquettes but this was... Wow. The super thin, crispy crumb coating gave way upon the poke of a fork to reveal a creamy, oozing interior.
Light, fresh and a little spicy. Great way to start off what turned out to be an excellent meal. Crispy garlic chips packed a punch without overpowering the delicate raw scallops.
Yet another fab veggie dish at Humpback. Both soft and crispy kale in the same dish, with just the right amount of tangy buttermilk dressing (hate salads that drown in sauce!). The pears were exceptionally sweet and crunchy too.
