Escaping Law School's Terrible Food
ABSOLUTELY SUCCULENT. The best Korean fried chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken retains so much of its juice and the skin is so crispy. One would expect that there would be the occasional dry piece of chicken due to over frying because of the uneven size of the chicken pieces... but surprisingly all the pieces were juicy to the core! I would love to visit here often but unfortunately the price is slightly off putting...
Loved the spring Onion pancake. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and it was quite a decent portion for $14.
The sides dishes were so amazing as well. They give you 12 different side dishes, from the usual kimchi to the unique apple salad! I would come here just for the side dishes!
Price:$17. Not bad for a treat-yourself without going broke lunch. This summer chicken stew comes with 2 pieces of sour dough bread with chicken thigh and a creamy stew with carrot and potato. The stew had a good herb aroma and the creamy texture/taste was just right. Though I would personally prefer creamier versions. Haha. The chicken thigh was da bomb as the meat just falls so gracefully off the bone. Then meat was also really tender. The sour dough bread was also crunchy. Though I would really like it if they would give another piece. The potato and carrot cubes add another layer to this dish and they are the safe haven you can escape to when you fee that you had a bit too much meat.
Price: $12 (I had it on a Wednesday afternoon so there was 1-for-1 discount; otherwise it would be about $20 ish). Verdict: okok, I didn't really like it that much. This wagyu beef burger is less awesome than the siracha burger that wildfire also offers. On its own, there's really nothing much to complain about the wagyu beef burger, but when compared with the siracha burger, I would say that this wagyu beef burger really loses its lustre. Unless you totally dig beef and can't stand chicken, I would recommend the siracha burger instead of this. I wouldn't specially revisit wildfire just for this dish even though it's really not bad.
Price:~$17. Verdict: YES! Really loved it. This siracha burger is like an upgraded mcspicy (though I would have to say it's more like a ultra upgraded mcspicy). Loved the bread and the chicken. Although the bread is really good as well, the thing that really stone the show was the chicken. They gave a generous portion, and it's really tender! The taste is really good as well. Perhaps my only gripe with it is that it is slightly burnt on the edges. But that is really not a biggie. Would totally revisit it if theY have 1 for 1 for it. At $17 however, I would be slightly more hesitant.
