Hawker Fare
Soya bean based soup which you can actually taste. I like it that they boil the soya bean again before they include them into the yong tau foo. Small detail but the beans come out soft and goes nicely with the other ingredients.
Next best thing, they fry the ingredients. Not so healthy but just enjoy it. Maybe common now to find stalls frying yong tau foo ingredients but wasn't so a few years back.
Finally, they have a good variety of ingredients and types of yong tau foo.
If you are a local but don't know what satay is, you ought to be fined. But if you don't know where to find juicy satay without the chunk of fat, head down to Haron Satay. Slather on the chunky peanut sauce and you have a satay so good, it is comparable to the famed Satay Kajang from Malaysia.
I've not eaten a soto with such thick gravy. Nice. Too bad they didn't have bagedil at this time. Some people know this shop as Selamat Datang Mee Soto & Mee Rebus.
