This Shanghai cafe is a true instagrammers haven, especially with this cuppa Americano. Sweet little rain ($9.80) comes with a cloud of cotton candy, which slowly melts into your coffee thereby sweetening it. Pity my cloud of cotton candy wasn't the prettiest. The Americano though is brewed from pretty decent beans. In short - makes for lovely Instagram pictures, if you have the cash to spare. Lovely space to sit and watch the world go by.
Served with a sprig of mint leaf, this drink is, truly, WICKED.
Nubbad coffee in this Neighbourhood joint. Beans from Nylon! The cake left me feeling rather undecided.
Tucked away in a sleepy corner of Yishun, this cafe has some of the best home made ice cream I've had in a long while. Hot favourites are the pistachio and chocolate overdose. The charcoal waffles were certainly interesting, but I'll be sticking to the good old plain waffle from now thank you very much. Regrettably I've not had the chance to try their Mr Potato Head, but that only gives me an excuse to go back.
Cuppa joe brewed with beans from Oriole.
Coffee break! Regrettably was too stuffed to try their famous waffles.
Fluffy meringue atop a tart passionfruit curd. (Oh the pun). Ever reliable pastries by the Carpenter and Cook team. This new outlet retains the vintage decor charm.
Tasty sandwiches at affordable prices just a few doors down from Creamier. Was blown away by the ABC. Coffee was alright, but it's those sandwiches that will keep us coming back!
Better luck with lunch mains - this kimchi fried rice was pretty amazing and strangely addictive.
Generous sprinkling of berries but alas the hotcake itself tasted rather bland and dry. Perhaps Melbourne brunch has spoilt me forever.
Creamy tagliatelle packed with umami flavour no doubt thanks to the sea urchin. #fusionasian
One of the hottest new cafes on the block, set up by the folks behind Strangers Reunion. Coffee was pretty good - no surprises there. Quite enjoyed my flat white although I heard the people at the table next to me quib about it being too bitter? Tables are a mite too close together but the space is pretty with a bright airy feel. Will be back to try their berry ricotta pancakes! #coffee
