The whole experience was pretty good :) We ordered the snowflake waffles and since it was wednesday, it came with a free scoop as well. The waffles were crsipy, sweet (not too sweet) and it was warm as well, perfect combination with the ice cream! (4/5) I got the mint ice cream, which was a bit disappointing as the mint was quite overwhelming (3/5) and friends got the vanilla which was rather normal (2/5) and another got the cookie butter ice cream which was a bit awkward at first, but great nonetheless (3/5) However, the plate was really small and awkward so it was rather hard to eat with.
We shared the cake amongst ourselves, and we separately ordered drinks for ourselves. i ordered the salted caramel affogato which was really good, but i felt that more caramel could be used (3/5) while my friend ordered the iced chocolate which was a bit diluted but it tasted fine anyway. (2/5) we ordered the flourless chocolate cake which tasted a bit bland, did not feel rich enough but it was good overall without being really sweet. (3/5) the red velvet cake was moist, accurate ratio of cream cheese frosting and the cake made it taste nice. the toppings ( i believe it was hundreds and thousands-ish) was a bit unnecessary though. (4/5)
Firstly, the pancakes are not pictured as i didn't wait and thankfully, it wasn't as presentable anyway. The earl grey cheesecake was quite disappointing for me, as i thought the earl grey was overwhelmed by the cream cheese a little too much. The base felt quite weird as well. But they gave quite a good sauce (butterscotch/caramel?) at the side. (2/5) The sweet potato latte was good even though i had a few sips, as they had pulp-ish things at the bottom. It was good, but it felt like hot milk with sweet potato syrup. (3/5) The pancakes were alright, but the amount of fruits they gave were quite sparse and the cream they gave was really awkward. Pancakes were fluffy, but the sides were not up to my satisfaction. (3/5)
We shared among ourselves for this one. The salad (consisting of a variety of ingredients which you can choose from and sauce as well) was quite worth it as they gave quite a huge portion. The japanese sauce is definitely worth a try as it was not too sour/sweet (4/5) The earl grey lavender cake was really good, with pretty icing designs on top. The lavender and earl grey taste matched really well and made the cake as a whole. (5/5) The drinks such as elderflower presse is worth a try, but you could get it anywhere in singapore. (3/5)
My friend ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and i ordered the butterscotch popcorn waffles, sharing a pot of honey sencha tea at the same time. The honey sencha tea (4/5) was really good, as you can taste nodes of honey while drinking the tea itself, really refreshing and light. The smoked salmon eggs benedict for my friend, it was quite awkward for her as the salmon did not match the taste of the mushroom jam that was served with the eggs benedict. The dressing from the salad also made the muffins soggy. Not a good dish, but try if you are exploring different eggs benedict (2/5). The butterscotch waffles took some time, but it was worth it. The artisan vanilla ice cream came just soft and not so sweet, complementing with the bananas and popcorn served with the waffles. A chef's recommendation there, definitely worth a try (4/5)
