The hot favourite was the Tom Yum broth! We added seafood and it was a giant pot of Tom Yum goong!

Besides offering an affordable ($13.90) bowl of beef + amazing rice, it's the interactive concept with my food that won me over. E.g. live cooking of my beef by my chef, whisking my onsen egg, pouring my onsen egg over my mountain of beef, adjusting the level of sweetness with my bowl of sukiyaki sauce. Time to plan another visit.

All these years you spent tryna wake me up would have been more effective with a burger with scrambled egg and cheese.

Of course there are hits and misses but when Merci Marcel nails it, they nail it. Couldn't stop reaching out for this plate of sauce-y beef that was thinly sliced, oh so tender, topped with creamy mushroom.

Teppan Kappou Kenji is one of those that serves you right. While food portion was small, we left with our hearts full.
