Highly recommend this much raved about place. Comes with a cup of coconut water. Super cooling and refreshing. I got one when I reached and got another when I left!
Definitely get the dry one. Noodles were springy and with the oily lard fragrance... So heavenly. Very small bowl though!
Meat was super tender and flavourful with a nice savoury braised sauce to accompany it. Good to eat with rice!
Things here are pretty expensive. The apple stew pot pie was really average, as was the tuna caesar sandwich. The pandan crepe cake was excellent, served with a separate coconut sauce which complemented the cake perfectly. The drinks are pretty good too if only a little too sweet, but didn't taste artificial. I had the peach mango banana and the strawberry yogurt. Total bill was about 950 bahts.
This humble place sells affordable shark's fin soup. However, this fell short of expectations. Soup was quite bland, I mean shark's fin itself is tasteless, but it's quite unlike the one's served in our restaurants in the past. Huge portion of shark's fin. If you must, just get one pot to share. The bird nest here was rather disappointing as well, far too sweet and lacked the fragrance of pandan leaves that I like.
Lovely fried rice with a good wok hei taste. The tze char here is also not bad, the Kang Kong especially is really good.
The stall looked good and fancy being on some sort of vintage van so I was immediately attracted to it. Ice cream was quite good, natural taste of mango and slightly tart passionfruit, which was a nice combination. If you're looking for some dessert while shopping at Pratunam, this is it!
If you do shop at Union Mall, get the coffee from Amazon Cafe. On my last visit, the crowd and fragrance of the coffee beans swayed me into buying what was the best mocha I tasted. And for this trip, I knew I must have it again! Mocha was smooth with a strong aroma of coffee and just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely better than Black Canyon Coffee which has a bit of a burnt coffee taste.
Ordered the large one (100 bahts) which had a really hearty portion (more than 2 mangoes). The rice tasted slightly salty which went well with the coconut.
Place is good for supper. But not worth it to make the trip down specially just for it.
Noodles were nice and springy. Nothing spectacular besides that. Soup version was better than the dry one.
Was intrigued by the title and so I ordered this cocktail. Good place to chill, place is totally dark, nice architecture with a magical theme. Location may be a bit far but walkable from the BTS. They have live bands playing every night!
