Think Chicken Corden Bleu but with everything pork; OMB throws in minced pork with cheese and wraps them in bacon, serving a portion size that would feed two. Bacon was more Bak-kwa like, and that the minced pork was pretty tender without tasting too heavily of meat. Would love the cheese to be more oozy and stringy though. Comes with mash potatoes which has pretty savoury gravy and greens underneath.
small but quaint, tucked away in dakota. really chill tonight with few customers, was great :-) and we enjoyed our cakes: ugly nutella + yuan yang cheesecake!
Just before the weekend kicks in, we rejuvenated ourselves with some delectable tarts from my current favorite spot. Featuring the French Cherry Tart, another new and seasonal item from Chef Cheryl's pastry kitchen. Desserts anyone?
Cheap and good! Curry isn't the chokingly spicy nor the full of chilli oil kind. Not exactly a great place to hang out because of the heat but it sure will fill your hunger and craving very well!
Bingsus here used to be for a person's portion. After feedback from customers for the past few days of opening, they have since increased the portion slightly, while offering it at the same price! This Berry Snow Bingsoo ($8+) is milky on every mouthful and the variety of berries is a lot, being sweet as well. However, the shaved ice melts quite easily despite retaining its flavour.
And so, I head home with great satisfaction that:
1. My new pair of white pants survived a day out, unscathed.
2. I managed to try SIX tarts from Tarte by Cheryl Koh today, including this pretty thing of ultra-thin pastry cupping soft lemon curd and candied lemon slice.
3. I can look forward to a nice, relaxing long weekend 😌 .
