Cheap Eats at Orchard

First time at Coco Ichibanya and I'm pretty impressed by the service. And how thoughtful is this takeaway box design! Managed to get back to the office with crispy cutlet. Yay!

Kinda disappointed that the flavours were pretty muted today, and to think it's one of their signature dishes. Teething problems, hopefully?

They ran out of char siew when we arrived for a late lunch, so we had a double portion of siew yoke for the double roast noodles. My heart's still firmly with Foong Kee but this ain't bad at all, and it's among the few value-for-money options on this overpriced shopping belt. Really enjoyed the homemade meatball soup though – that'll probably be my go-to when I'm stuck around Orchard and craving for something soupy and light. #burpple

Pretty darn good for a $14.80++ bowl! But I don't recommend finishing the rice – that's super filling!
