If you're looking for a simple, healthy, satisfying meal, these soups are the perfect choice. This stall in Bukit Timah Market sells 6 different kinds of soup everyday. At $3 - $4, these soups do not contain any MSG and are light and tasty. Besides the soups, also try the Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Beans ($3.50).

At just $8.80, this lunch set of 4 Xiao Long Baos, 1 bowl of noodles and a drink will leave you satisfied. The noodles come in a generous portion with 5 versions to choose from -- Noodles A and E are recommended. For supper, the steamboat buffet with unlimited XLB is crazy good value! From 10.15pm - 12.30pm, it's only $16.80 for adults.

Known as the “House of Hot Pot”, Suki-ya offers unlimited, top-quality beef and pork in paper-thin slices, along with a good variety of fresh vegetables. Mix up your own tasty concoctions at the sauce bar! Expect to queue, the high quality meats are known to be pure value for money. Weekday dinners go for $23.90++, time to round up some friends! The fresh lobsters at Olive Tree can be rather elusive, with diners swooping in and clearing the tray as soon as they can. If you don't manage to grab enough, indulge in as much crayfish, scallops and fresh prawns as you can. The hot dishes of braised lamb/ duck/ dory fare better than the usual run-of-the-mill buffet selections at other places. Be sure to save space for their never-ending selection of desserts! Go for lunch at $45, or dinner at $55. Call ahead for reservations!

Dining at Rocku is a lot of fun, with its upbeat, grungy ambience that's perfect for barbequeing some meat and downing a few beers with your friends. Certainly catering to meat-lovers, the menu features premium cuts such as Wagyu beef brisket, Australian sirloin and short ribs. There are also live bands playing from Wed to Sat! The Line has easily become most people's go-to buffet for a special occasion. With 16 kitchens banging out great dishes all round, it's hard to compete with the variety and quality here. The ambience is clean cut and comfortable, allowing you to feel posh and at home at the same time. Do not miss the Japanese and Dessert sections, those are the highlights for sure.
