Only In Finland

The ice cream is a small cone, so I have no idea how big the big cone is 😊. They have "wet" markets like ours but theirs in odour free and very dry. While their markets sell a variety of things, from flowers to meat to handicraft, this one is mainly on food items.

Super duper sweet marzipan cake with cream and plum jam filling.

Really cool name and the proprietor was very friendly too! She offered us some free chocolate truffles! This place also serves Reindeer Cake! Yes, not kidding. It's a savoury cake but I was not up for trying it 😁.

I must say the food really surprised me! Very rarely do I get passable cuisine on holidays, especially meals at the restaurants I stay at, but this place has even serving delicious three course meals for both lunch and dinner!

Mocha, Vanilla-Mango, Blackcurrant, Cranberry, Cloudberry and Cinnamon-Gingerbread. Glad to know the ones we have back home are nicer.

I didn't! Until I noticed all the numerous Moomin memorabilia/ souvenirs at gift shops all around! I'm here at a Fazer outlet, a chocolate/ candy brand also from Finland, and they have many Moomin chocolates and candies!

Totally attracted by their beautiful light fixtures hanging in the window. The cafe also has a comfy canopy daybed with curtains hanging from the ceiling and simple grey spoke-back chairs and tables. In addition, the peppermint ice cream here is the bomb! Imagine that pink and white candy cane swirls, clean fresh taste accompanied with bits of peppermint in each bite! 😍

It reminded me of carrot cake but more moist and heavily spiced. I shared my cake with three of my friends but they didn't like it because they felt that there was too much spice. Haha maybe I have weird taste!

Totally in line with the arctic theme, featuring the polar bears. The only polar bears in Finland live at Ranua Wildlife Park.

Came across this cake shop in the heart of Rovaniemi and got myself this blueberry cupcake (3 Euro) 😊 beautifully piped and decorated! And the people in Finland are very patient and friendly!
