The temperature difference between the toasty warm and icy cold elements was intriguingly diverting, while elsewhere the gentle vanilla ice cream soothed the raging angst of the heavily Thai tea cream and the chocolatey Thai tea macaron was undergoing a severe identity crisis. 3.3/5

The waffle had the buttery and salty charisma of a socially fluid scone, whilst elsewhere the dark chocolate sorbet looked broodingly into the distance donning his aviator shades and the sour and very potent espresso sauce – heavily laced with the heady fragrance of Kahlua – kicked some major ass. 4/5

The red velvet waffle was of a soft and chewy variety, whilst elsewhere the peppermint ice cream could cure mild sore throats and the milky banana ice cream hid a naughty overnight nutty brownie guest. 3.5/5

The madagascan vanilla was texturally professional - although for some reason an image of a Baygon can popped up in my head as soon as my tongue made contact - but it is likely to be one of Sunday Folks' weaker flavours. Elsewhere, the legendary waffles were reliably magnificent in their sturdy crisp, and had nothing much else to prove really. 4.1/5

Essentially the perfect funfair/pasar malam-themed date night dessert for lovey dovey couples. The waffles were sweet, soft and crispy on the outside, while the consumption process for the cotton candy may prove to irk (or excite, if you’re an evil dentist) given how they stick oh-so-gluely to utensils. Elsewhere, the earl grey was fairly milky (with actual fig within!) whilst the lavender honey was like a loving tribute to toilet air freshener. 3.7/5

The whipped cream was as necessary as the adjectives “frozen” and “free” when using the words ice and gifts respectively (these are examples of “tautology” – English Language Editor) but the pistachio ice cream was deeply roasty, the waffle as soft as chiffon and the freeze-dried strawberries a mouthful of gnomely sour delight. 3.8/5

The choice of whipped cream to collar the bingsu was rather bizarre, but once said collar was scrapped off the mountain the green tea dessert was quite the hot weather delight, with the combination of sauce and ice cream somehow lasting long enough to sufficiently and thoroughly flavour the snow canvas beneath. 3.8/5

The charcoal waffle itself was soft and bread-like, whilst the gooey salted egg yolk sauce had the grace and refinement of an Orchard Towers performance artiste. Elsewhere, the Famous Amos ice cream – like a chocolate chip remix of cookies and cream – contained an actual Subway-esque cookie while the milkily sweet Thai Red Tea will leave a lingering taste of tea after it departs. 3.4/5

In contrast to the sketchy cultural appropriation of the Matchazuke, this parfait understands the orange/chocolate dynamic and plays up their chemistry well without unnecessary pandering. The orange elements fare considerably better than the hazelnut ones – the hazelnut cake required repeated bites before I grew accustomed to its charms and the crisp was like a particularly kooky Loacker wafer – but it’s a pity that the Cointreau-esque alcoholic pouring sauce, which claws at you whilst meowing coquettishly when you drink it alone, somehow sobers up and becomes as prim as a top button-done class monitress once it makes contact with the yogurt. 3.8/5

The pound cake-esque matcha cake, intensely flavoured cat’s tongue (or long du shah if you’re all posh) and matcha sauce certainly put the matcha in this Matchazuke. However, the yogurt swirl (which admittedly brought out the best in the matcha sauce) was too eager in its desires to prove its authenticity over other froyo competitors, the inclusion of the vanilla pudding – essentially like a hardened, concentrated Madagascan Vanilla ice cream – was confusing and the dango and concentrated red bean cube felt invited solely to Japonify the proceedings, which ultimately felt as Japanese as a performance by a Western singer donning a kimono with backup dancers holding paper fans and cherry blossoms falling from the ceiling. 3.5/5

While the massive, unyielding lobster flesh could be an anti-gym poster boy proving that there’s such a thing as being too big, the avocado gelato with gula melaka is essentially the gustatory equivalent of love-making with your throat and tongue. Unbelievably amazing.

Despite the visual distractions offered by the veiny green dress, the Marge Simpson hairdo and the admittedly entertaining juggling of orange balls, inevitable is the realisation that the so-named snow milk that lies beneath has as much personality as those fake accounts with zero posts and two/three-sentence bios with buzzwords like "fanatic", “bacon”, “music” and “coffee” that you find when you browse through the likes of people who paid for them. 3.2/5
