Eggs Benedict with a twist! Poached egg on juicy steak with fluffy muffin and yummy spicy roasted potatoes!

Is it me or is there something very soul-satisfying about this classic dish? A long-time establishment that has seen many K-pop bands and singers drop by for dinner, Manna Korean Restaurant serves up a good authentic version. I adore the fragrant broth as it's light yet the ginseng flavour prevails. There's no need to order rice either because if you order the full chicken portion, you'll find that it's been stuffed with glutinous rice, chestnuts and garlic.

What a feast this is, both visually and gastronomically. The dishes at Sinar Pagi are always presented so appetisingly, I wish I had the tummy space to order and eat every single thing! For extra "shiok-ness", they also offer a few excellent homemade "sambals" (the green chilli "sambal belado" is my favourite). Compared to other similar Muslim food stalls, the prices here aren't that cheap but their food is seriously fab.

This isn't your typical burger. Nope, what we have here ladies and gentlemen, is a luxed-up version that has nothing to do with cow. Instead, what keeps the top bun away from the bottom bun are thick patties of VERY succulent Iberico BBQ pork and foie gras. You get two of these juicy babies for $29++.

Known for its cheap and good Thai food (as they boast on their signboard), Jai Thai has become a favourite for many. Indecisive ones will be glad that they have a mixed platter of appetisers, comprising fishcakes, prawncakes, deep fried Thai spring rolls and deep fried beancurd. The Green Curry Chicken is aromatic and pleasantly lighter, so you can pair it with rice without feeling sick. Order the Steamed Tofu with Chicken Basil; the combination goes surprisingly well. If you're heading there for lunch, consider getting their set lunches that come with a main course, drink and dessert.

Owned by the people behind Soi Thai, Siam Society is a more chic, upscale Thai restaurant with a modern twist. Get the Prawn Cake Balls, which are deep fried, crusty, bite-sized balls of minced prawn meat, paired with sweet chilli dipping sauce. The Crispy Pork Knuckle is marinated for a day in a special aromatic sauce, deep fried, massive, and not for the faint hearted. Do yourself a favour and get the Steamed Seabass in Chilli Lime. The fish is fresh and steamed to perfection, and the gravy... Sour, spicy and salty, this is one feisty fish. With its more relaxed vibe and quiet location in Jalan Riang, Siam Society makes for a nice hideout to chill and have good Thai food.
