Buffets
First time checking out a champagne brunch buffet and decided to go for Colony at Ritz Carlton! Partially also heard about the raving reviews for their selection. At $192++ per adult, free flow of champagne, champagne rose, house pour white/red wines, cocktails and draft beers in addition to the buffet spread. Highlight of the buffet is definitely the wide variety of selection they have and the live cooking sections. The Pan Seared Foie Gras, Lobster Egg Benedict and Black Chicken Herbal Soup are definitely not to be missed. Their version of Singapore Sling with Vodka as a base was incredibly well created too!
Riding on the Citibank card 1-1 offer. We decided to check our Latest Recipe at Le Meridien. Revolving around the theme of local southeast Asian taste, you'll find yourself indulging in Bak Kut Teh, Char Kway Teow, Roast Meats, Salted Egg Yolk Prawns to your Nonya Kuehs and self made Ice Kachang in addition to your cold dishes and cakes. Was expecting a bit more on the selection though while quality of their selection was rather mediocre too. Nonetheless, their Laksa was pretty good! Piping hot bowl of thick curry with a tint of coconut and ending it off with some fish cake, tau pok and slices of eggs. You can personalize it a little by adding some hainanese chicken on top of it varying the dish to like chicken curry noodle! Something I would go for a second serving in the buffet line.
For $70++ for a dinner buffet. It's one of the better money worthy buffet given its variety of spread and freshness of selection. They have a section of meat carving which includes roast beef, ham and roast chicken. They have live cooking section for laksa which was highly recommended! The gravy was thick with coconut milk. Just beside it was the steam hainanese chicken which was surprisingly smooth, moist and tender and they had double boiled soup of the day too! Beside the Asian selection, they have additional Indian curry and prata and Malay briyani! While for their seafood and sashimi selection. It was pretty good too! The highlight was their snow crab legs; they too have squid and sweet prawns under their sashimi selection! Desserts was decent with their trays filled with assorted tarts, slices cakes and desserts cups! End of your day with a cup of coffee and tea. Would say it is one of the better buffet with quality and freshness at a rather reasonable price!
The spread at Seasonal Taste dinner buffet is definitely awesome! Went for the seafood indulgence night which serves a variety of fresh plump succulent seafood esp their juicy creamy oyster is a must try! They too have a carving counter, noodle cooking counter and not forgetting a selection of pretty colorful orgasamic desserts awaiting. Enjoy the buffet with a panoramic view of CBD skyscrapers and PSA port of Singapore.
Fancy for some Oyster Fritters? Tempura-alike batter that's light, crisp and fluff. And a bite into the fat and creamy oyster fill your mouth with their milky juice! Head down to The Square's buffet line for more exciting food!

With also a delectable selection of warm and cooked food like roast beef, fois gras, cereal prawns, chicken rice and more. & a galore of sweet treats that's revolves around the Easter theme to end your buffet!
