No doubt that the Grouper Fish Porridge is the restaurant's recommendation, the regulars will prefer to order their Pomfret Fish Porridge instead. Though we are just an hour into their business operations for the day, their Pomfret Fish Porridge was already sold out.
The Teochew Style Porridge had left a big impression on me as their porridge was not the usual ones we often had from the porridge stall. Traditionally, this ethnic style of preparation is having rice in soup. Even as a Teochew, I seldom had such Porridge. Fish Soup was excellently done. I love the light and fragrant taste of such porridge with ingredients none other than slices of grouper fish, seaweed, coriander, preserved mustard and ginger strips.

The puff was generously filled with minced pork and stuffed with Chinese celery with some roasted peanuts sticking onto the external surface of the batter. The octopus was not very significant among the minced meat and I can hardly spot them.

Overall I find that the meat puff has some lacking flavours and perhaps if the meat can be more seasoned for some extra oomph. The outer layer was crispy and perfectly fried to its golden brown however, the layer of batter was slightly thicker than expectations, they also lacked the fragrant that other Fuzhou Oyster Pancakes catered.

The laksa broth has a faint taste of coconut milk, striking a good balance of sweetness with a little bit of spice. Overall, it still makes a good bowl of laksa topped with chopped laksa leaves and a scoop of chilli.

The texture of the Mung Beans were good and had a good consistency without being diluted or starchy. Look at the beans, they are still in shape and not too mushy.

I must agree that the bowl of Lor Mee has passed the average standard. The bowl of Lor Mee has the standard braised pork and gravy was not too thick or sticky.

Noodles were springy and complemented well with the sauce. Ingredients were generous in its thick cut braised mushrooms, handful of minced meat and noodles stand up with its fragrant fried sole fish.
