There are several stalls selling the coconut ice cream along the chatuchak streets. Spot the most popular one by simply looking at the stall that has the longest queue. Seeing tourists post countless pictures on Instagram about this coconut ice cream made me very curious about how nice it actually is. It's definitely a refreshing dish to have, in the hot humid weather of Bangkok especially in the crowded streets of shoppers. Paired together with different toppings that you can choose from and fresh coconut flesh to scrap from the husk, it is definitely an unforgettable dessert. At he cheap price that they are selling it at, there isn't much you can complain about.

Do go to this place for dinner if you're planning to do shopping at the night markets of the Siam streets. We went there after reading a food blog recommending this but didn't really have any expectations cause the food pictures didn't really look super delicious. But I guess that's the beauty of Thai food- simple but delivers a packful of flavors. I will recommend the crispy chicken which is so juicy and tender and of course CRISPY, smoked duck, papaya salad freshly made upon order and last of all sticky rice. Yes you didn't see wrongly. STICKY RICE. this version is different from that usually found in mango sticky rice. It's not sweet but has a slightly chewy bite to it, making it a perfect accompaniment to all the other sides. This place left us wanting for more, and until now while writing this post a few weeks since we came back from the land of smiles, our mouth salivates just from the thought of the delicious crispy chicken with the sticky rice.

One of the must visits when you go to Bangkok. This is a very popular seafood joint located along the main road of Chinatown. Just quote T&K Seafood to the taxi uncle and they will know. Workers at this shop can also be spotted wearing green shirts. Their main rival is located just opposite in pink shirts. This place is popular for it's cheap seafood dishes. We went there twice when we visit Bangkok during our 5 days so you can figure how much we loved it. If you don't know what to order, try their grilled prawns, squid with yellow curry (it's like eating twisties all over again), crispy fish as well as their crab with vermicelli. All these dishes are good and cheap. Of course you may not get the level of freshness you desire but hey, the price makes up for it.

This shop has several branches in Bangkok due to it's extensive popularity not only among the tourists but the locals as well. During the trip we saw two of its outlets: basement of Siam Paragon and it's main branch at Thonglor. The queue at Siam Paragon was crazily long during the two days we went there. We decided to go to the Thonglor branch instead on a Monday morning where the queue will be hopefully shorter and also to visit the other cafes ( Jones Orphanage, Roast and Greyhound) located just 1-2 minutes walking distance from it. we tried the shibuya honey toast that was so widely raved about and it did meet my expectations. The toast was crispy on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. What I liked about it was that they separated the honey from the toast. The honey was served seperately in a small little jug which really helped to prevent the toast from getting soggy. If also allows people to control the amount of honey they will like to have, especially important for those who don't have a preference for too sweet desserts.

Located just across the infamous shopping haven - Platinum Mall, this shop is always packed full with people even when I arrived at 3pm in the afternoon for lunch on a weekday. We went to visit this shop to check out if it is as good as raved but what stood out wasn't their small portioned wanton noodles but their braised pig skin dish. First of all, I've never eaten pig skin in singapore just because it sounds disgusting. But this dish completely changed my mind. The sauce was amazingly good and the pig skin was braised so well that it was just so soft and tasty. This dish is a definite must-order!!!! For the wanton noodles, in my opinion it was a little too dry for me but the lard oil that they accompanied with the noodles did help to compensate it a little.
