I've heard many raving reviews of this French toast! It's not bad - soft fluffy toast completely soaked through with egg and milk. I would have liked it to be more crisp on the outside, and the maple syrup didn't have the nice fragrance that high quality maple syrups do so that's another gripe I have. Toby's French toast remains my fave.

I must say, good choice to myself 👏 I love how the Cajun flavour is just right and the chicken meat is sooooo tender! I love that the meat is still warm when served to us. The cheese sauce (I think) goes pretty well with the chicken though! Once you eat, you can't stop! This is really really good. 👍👍 two thumbs up! 😄 I wish I'm having this for lunch now!

The mixed aroma of salted egg yolk and fried curry leaves make this a really delightful dish. Goooood!

More a hybrid of "ngoh hiang", "hae cho" and fried "popiah" rather than what its name suggests, this is made using the caul lining of a pig to encase a filling of salted egg, minced pork, prawns and water chestnuts. Not surprisingly, the use of this rather unusual part of the pig's anatomy gives a rich, distinctly porky flavour. Plus the roll is deep fried before being sliced up, which means the insanely delicious crispy outer layer of the roll tastes just like thin pork crackling! I had to keep stopping in between bites to take a closer look because I couldn't reconcile what I was tasting and seeing - lol!
