To-try COFFEE.
According to the folks at .elia, they do source for their own coffee beans and roast the coffee beans by themselves. The Flat White here is brewed using beans of Himalayan origin — a rather smooth and creamy cuppa that carried a light body which serves as a rather soothing and easy-to-drink cup of coffee with the food.
Returned to Lunar Coffee Brewers to try their Flat White since I missed it for their stellar The Milky Way during my last visit. The Flat White is brewed from a blend roasted by Two Degrees North Coffee Co.; the cuppa had a medium body and a nutty flavour profile with a smoky finish.
This was yet another interesting one — beans that is usually meant for local Nanyang Kopi extracted via an espresso machine with the addition of milk (yes, the usual one; not condensed milk) and comes even with latte art. The flavours are a pretty interesting mix of local Nanyang Kopi with that distinct aroma but without the intense sweetness (there is still some form of sweetness near the bottom but it's really mild in comparison to the Kopi we know) and with the milkiness of a Flat White. Quite intrigued by this one.
A very well-executed cuppa here using a blend of Colombian and Guatemalan beans — the Flat White was smooth and creamy, while being light-bodied and carried a nutty flavour profile with a clean finish.
Expertly pulled, Stamping Ground Coffee possibly does one of the best cups that I have ever had using Papa Pahelta's Throwback blend which consist on beans from Indian and Brazilian origins. The result from the Flat White here would be this well-balanced cup where it's not too strong not milky, carrying a little citrus-sy notes on first taste but compensates with a smoky, chocolatey and nutty flavour profile thereafter with quite a clean finish. Possibly one of the coffees I would really travel down for.
But it is to be expected when it's the owner of #thehangarsg behind it. #burpple #BurppleTastemaker #substancecafe #substancesg #sgcafe #cafesg #cafehoppingsg #8Dayseat

This is a new cafe where traditions meet civilization, serving light snacks such as sea salt fries, la coffee wings; old schoolers - butter kaya toasts, half boiled eggs; Asian specials - Curry chicken, Laksa, Siew Mai; and western delights - beef bolognese, potato salad, pancakes and more to expect.

Located in Lasalle College of the Arts, this spacious cafe is home to many long and wide tables, and serves very decent food at extremely affordable prices. This makes for a gloriously conducive place to get work done, or to hold group gatherings. If that isn't enough of an incentive, they now serve all-day brunch; including waffles, smoked salmon, eggs benedict!
