Happy 30th #birthday to myself and what a year! This time last year I was still feeling somewhat lost and suddenly wham! Something clicked and before I knew it, my health was on the way to recovery, I suddenly got a job, I came back to church and started serving again; our big move to our second home seems imminent. I thank Father God, Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit because even as I just walked, They who is He moved. 📷: Birthday dinner with fam @shashliksg . 2nd visit and their Russo-Hainanese food is breathtakingly good as always! 想在這裏祝我自己三十歲 #生日 快樂! 過去一年真的使我感恩又無法形容... 去年這時期我仍對於自己的生活感到茫然但乓! 突然一切對位了-- 在不知不覺中，我的健康危機逐漸被結了，我突然有了一份新工作，我回到教會並重新開始服侍神了; 我們遷移到第二個家的計劃也一步一步地開始落實了。我感謝天父, 主耶蘇與聖靈，因為當我僅僅在生活的道路上行走時，祂們也就是祂... 卻在我的生活里動工。

I did not watch the Parade today. I was so exhausted from one month of clocking 7/8am late "nights" that I just slept through today and woke up as the end-credits for the Parade was rolling. Considering the next stage of things, I felt surprisingly calm and at peace with this country I call home both grudgingly and with some affection. Ate some #teochewporridge to reminisce my roots and grabbed the quintessential Singaporean dessert-- Mac's hot fudge sundae. Happy Birthday Singapore. 🇸🇬

In the past, no matter how I craved for my favorite foods, I would shy away from fulfilling these cravings, in a bid to consider those with me whom I knew hated those foods. Presently, as I have cast that consideration away and freely become a "bad guy" by choosing to eat wherever I want, it has ended up achieving the opposite effect of what I used to fear-- those with me finding food they enjoy in places they would never have looked into previously.
