Pretty certain there's a more poetic name in Chinese to go with the history of this spot, unfortunately, my Chinese is horrendous. Tasted as good as it looked and the pineapple puree went surprisingly well with the lobster!

Freshly cooked mochi with ground peanut and sesame. So chewy and soft, fab warm sweets on a cool night.

Located in Gaia Beitou, this is an award winning dish of xian cao (the plant used to make grass jelly) & short ribs. Definitely a top dish and a must try if you're in the area. Love how the flavours are all infused and the meat is melt in your mouth tender.

Stumbled upon this little street just 3 mins walk from Taipei 101, and it was a local wet market in the morn. The radish Cake and mix of pork innards and slices were pretty interesting!

Seared fresh scallops, you could taste the sea in these.

An amazing cold appetiser - the duck was super tender and not gamey at all. Didn't expect such fab fine dining in Beitou. A 5 course menu was TWD1680++ which is good value!

Recommended by my brother's girlfriend, this old uncle who sells egg crepes in the morning around Ximending, his location changes daily. Ordered the spicy egg floss one, which was chewy and spicy! Loved the spring onion crepe

Could not leave Taipei without an order of the Hot Star Chicken. So much better than the SG one - they really let the oil drain off, and the meat was still juicy and tender. Somehow, the version in SG gets soggy when it cools down, but this one stayed crisp.

Covered the rest in previous posts, so this one's about the carrot cake - in itself, it was good, but made more awesome with the two different types of sauces

My favourite! We even brought back some to SG. Yep, that awesome.

My favourite Bubble tea in taipei, beats KOI in my opinion, it's creamy yet has a more pronounced tea flavor.
