So many locals patiently waiting for their turn. After I took a bite, I understood why. There must be hundreds of bahn mi stalls and only a few of them had Q.
The crispy loaf with the savory ham. Slightly more expensive than the rest of the bahn mi but their ingredients were much better. Generous with the stuffing and ever fresh loaf!
Banh Mi Huynh Hoa (Known as “lesbian banh mi” opened by two ladies)
26 Le Thi Rieng Street, District 1. ***if they change to real meat instead of using ham, some one will definitely love it.
Even with the sign board, it still seem so hidden.
No wonder @legalnomads said that this is one of the best in town. The soothing sweetness from the broth was just so comforting. Their sliced beef was so tender that I hardly need to chew.

I love this salmon pizza!! It tastes nice. The price is about 250000 vnd. Eatworthy :) Excellent pizza restaurant in Saigon, run by Japanese couple. This place is off street . If you come to Saigon , you should come this place. You need to have reservation in advance.
To complete the meal, this drink called "Rau Ma Dua". I include the name because I don't know what it is in English. It is a drink made from some kind of vegetable, that is usually bitter but they add sugar so it's actually sweet. While I enjoyed it, I would say that this is one of those drinks that isn't for everyone, but is interesting to try at least once.
Lightly marinated pork to go along with the previously posted vegetables / rice paper roll. We also ordered beef that came raw but you cooked on the spot in a boiling broth (not pictured).
This place served up a mountain of vegetables for us. Each time, you take some vegetables, put it on rice paper, add some meat (not pictured) and roll them up to be eaten with a dipping sauce. A very refreshing lunch!
While waiting for our local friend to arrive we escaped the heat to each enjoy a glass of Vietnamese coffee.
Kicking the trip off with some classic Pho at a shop just down the road from our hostel. Doesn't have to be said but the pho here beats any that I've had elsewhere around the world.
Served on a platter with a fresh French style roll and hot chilli sauce in an outdoor setting. An excellent value 35,000 dong and a great venue with local office workers and some tourists.
About 60,000 dong so about three dollars. Nicely presented with mini chocolate biscuit. Creamy, smooth coffee taste but a little weak. The cafe is all white with blue neon and sports TV. Actually pretty restful and just behind the city museum which makes it a good place to stop after sightseeing.
