Must Try

Visited the brand new Shinji by Kanesaka at Carlton Hotel for lunch today. Located in one corner of the lobby, I found the zen-looking walkway at the restaurant entrance to help put me in the right frame of mind for the impending meal as I wound my way through it. The interior of this Shinji reminds me a lot of the original at Raffles Hotel albeit on a larger scale. Unlike the St. Regis outlet, this has a lower ceiling so the feeling is cosier.
As I was in greedy mode (when am I ever not 😜), I chose to have the 15-piece sushi course again.
Every single piece was sublime but this silky Spanish mackerel was the one I loved most. The way it felt in my mouth floored me to say the least.

Not able to finish due to quite full but still not bad.

Menu show 4 pax, but I think is more for 2 pax. Quite max of pork. But not "hulk" enough.

Awesome meat with nice sauce.
