A must-eat at the Christmas market in Birmingham - freshly made mini Dutch pancakes. I love mine slathered with the cherry sauce and Nutella!
These were dreamy - we ordered 2 each at first. Then they arrived at our table warm and flaky and custardy with that caramelised top. Then we ordered 2 more each 😅 don't be fooled by the long queues outside - that's for the takeaway counter. Head right inside where they have a huge seating area.
Three huge slices of roast pork, green beans, cream cauliflower, mashed sweet potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, purple cabbage AND some beetroot. Couldn't finish this at all - and it was only £13! Great way to end off our visit to St Michael's Mount in Cornwall, England.
After a 5 hour drive down to Cornwall, we rewarded ourselves with a seafood platter and white wine. Simple menu with fresh local seafood.
Super fresh mussels + white wine sauce + crisp fries = winner.
Oysters freshly shucked right by the oyster farm. We sat on the steps and gobbled these up, disposing of the shells by chucking them onto the large piles of shells nearby. 6 of these beauts only cost us €4!
A Greek staple - juicy pork skewers served with pita bread, fried potatoes and Tzatziki dip. Tzatziki dip is made from Greek yogurt and is ABSOLUTELY amazing. Marinos Restaurant in Corinth was lovely and we had some of the best Greek food of our trip there.
There is no way better to really understand a country's culture than through its cuisine! Attended the Spanish Cooking Class by Travel Bar and watched our chef cook a giant pan of paella right before our eyes - it was absolutely delicious. Free-flow sangria to top it all off!
