We bought the cakes and brought it home. I heated it in the oven then topped it with Double Dutch ice cream. I've died and gone to heaven.
Hot chocolate cake paired with vanilla ice cream is always a great combination. Just be prepared for the crusty, sugary, edges that will stick to your teeth. I do wish the molten chocolate filling was more, well, flowy and chocolatey.
Slices of sweet mango make this famous sweet and sticky rice dessert an absolute delight. Reminded me of suman. Although richer due to coconut milk.
There were so many good things about this! 1) Made from real galapong (Rice dough. Other cheaper forms just use flour. Not as good.) 2) Slathered with lots of butter. 3)Topped with salted egg. 4)Topped with authentic Queso de Bola. I could die.
They may have had this cake in mind when they coined the term “death by chocolate” for sure. My friend Maimai makes these cakes and is truly one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever tasted.
Different berries in one amazing gelato. Super enjoyed this. Tart. Sweet. Yum.
