As expected from an establishment like Tunglok Heen, the hor fun had that intense "wok hei" flavour that shows good control of the flame by the chef in the kitchen. The slices of beef tenderloin and the slightly sticky black bean sauce went perfectly with the thin strands of hor fun in this dish.
If you think the normal roasted pork belly is good, try it with kurobuta pork and you'll realise how the quality of pork used makes a difference in your experience.
As usual, Crystal Jade doesn't disappoint . The thick layer of skin was roasted to a perfect crisp, the meat was tender and didn't come with too much fat.
a rather average tasting dish but I'm hoping that it's only because the head chef isn't in on Hari Raya rather than a drop in standard here at Grub.
