Jumbo Steak Han’s (Chatan)

After a long and tiring day visiting multiple attractions, I specifically chose this Jumbo Steak Han’s outlet in America Village for the All-You-Can-Drink Beverage add-on (+¥440). With how thirsty I was, the free flow of drinks was exactly what I needed. Bonus: it includes a cup of ice cream!

I ordered the Rib Eye Steak (240g), which arrived thick, juicy, and cooked to my requested medium rare, but the uneven heat distribution brought it up to medium and medium-well on my plate. The texture was slightly chewy with a good amount of fats, making the beefy taste quite strong. While the steak did filled me up but it wasn't tastisfying enough, luckily there were in-house special sauces and seasonings that really helped elevate the flavours.

I also went for the Free Flow Salad, Soup, Curry, and Rice Station (+¥550), which was a good addition to the meal. The salad was pretty standard, and the clam chowder soup had flavour but was too watery. The highlight from this mini buffet was definitely the Beef Curry. It was beefy rich, savoury, and meaty with a creamy, complex texture that was both heartwarming and comforting, and also perfect to go with rice.

To finish off the meal, I indulged in a citrusy, sweet and refreshing Shiiquasa Sorbet from Blue Seal, Okinawa’s iconic ice cream brand.
