Yeah this look like it’s very rare but it didn’t taste so. Maybe just under medium rare but I enjoyed it. Meat master is located at the basement of Lot 10 at the Japanese market. Pick your steak and they’ll cook it for RM10 cooking charge. You may also add on rice, miso soup and tea. There’s also salad and dessert at the other stalls. #throwback #burpple @isetanthejapanstore

(Rating: 3/5🌟) Toro Kaisen Don (rm88) which comes with four slices of otoro, uni (sea urchin) as well as generous amount of ikura (salmon roe) on a bowl of sushi rice. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. But the price was quite steep for me, given that the otoro sliced was thin and small cut.

Japanese cuisine never cease to amaze you as it always educates you on their regional cuisine that not only reserves to Sushi, sashimi or teppanyaki! In one of the restaurants located on the 4th floor of the Isetan Japan Store in Lot 10, there lies a yakitori restaurant which specialize all those quaint little gems of the Japanese cuisine which is truly rare to find in KL! So in this restaurant, I had the pleasure in trying out their specialty; Unagi and egg rice (RM50) with a side of soup.. it may seem very simple but there is a method to enjoy this little bowl of unagi. First you have to separate a portion of the rice alongside a piece of unagi with a piece of the egg blanket and then you pour a portion of the soup into the bowl which contains the mentioned components.. from there you can start enjoying it, the style of enjoying it does sounds familiar to a Ochazuke style but Ochazuke is mainly the tea broth is steeped into the bowl of rice without individually portioning it.. Surprisingly, the soup goes well with the sticky sweet and salty unagi together with the blanket texture of the umami egg!

Much like a food court at the basement of Lot 10 mall, there were many stalls that caught out attentions navigating through its maze-like layout.
From Penang to Ipoh and many other parts of Malaysia, local delights like BKT, CKT, roasted meats and more were available.
Our pick of KL Hokkien Mee and Penang duck egg CKT were both delicious and flavourful. Chendol was kinda lacking in ingredients but taste was there. Price-wise it might not be as economical compared to street stalls but totally acceptable thinking of the travelling avoided.

Remember the first time I stepped into this dim lighted eatery, I wasn't impressed by their limited choices of menu. However, their Sushi Roll Platter has the perfect portion for small eater. It was sufficient to fill up your tummy. Three kinds of Sushi Roll(salmon Ikura Roll, Unagi Roll and California roll) nicely plated on a black ware, decorated with sauces & wasabi. I've to emphasised that the Unagi and cream cheese in the Unagi roll was well balanced. The generous serving of Ikura on the salmon roll was abit overwhelming. RM38 per plate.

Here's what it tastes like.
⠀
First off, this is NOT the typical Japanese cheesecake - fluffy and tasteless. Instead, there's a real premium taste to the cheese; it's delicate and not overpowering.
⠀
Next, the three layers of wow. 😍 The middle part is silky smooth (like brie/cream cheese). The outer layer resembles the texture of normal cheesecakes, slightly solidified and stronger in flavour. Then there's the outside char, which gives a hint of smokiness. #outofthisworld
⠀
Now, imagine yourself taking alternating spoonfuls of each layer coated with freshly whipped cream. 😇 #mindblown
