I had mine at Halil Lahmacun, on the Asia side of Istanbul and one of the most popular places serving this.
The menu is just the lahmacun (minced meat, onions, vegetables and herbs) and a cheese version.
I did what the guy in the next table did: squeeze lemon on it, add parsley, fold the dough into a square, and eat.
Delicious and the lemon brightened it up. And I think it’s best with buttermilk!
