First thing I noticed is that they provide electronic menu but it cannot be use for ordering, you still have to write down your order manually on the order sheet.šŸ¤Ø Each donburi set comes with miso soup, 3 pc gyoza and free flow Japanese salad (cabbage with tangy sauce). It would be better if there were more stuffs in the salad, eg. tomatoes, cucumbers etc. Oh well, itā€™s free flow, so Iā€™m not complaining. The gyoza was really tasty, you could taste the crisp on the skin with juicy pork fillings inside. This was so good we ordered another separate plate of it. The pork belly was very tender and well-marinated. The saba was pretty well done too, the fish was moist and no fishy taste at all.

It is a bowl of rice topped with aĀ deep-fried pork cutlet. Yum yum. Love the breaded pork. Crispy on the outside and Tender on the inside. Sometime they also cook it with curry gravy.
.
Featuring the Kare Katsu Don (Japanese Curry Rice with Breaded Pork) S$9.80 from @gyozayasg. It is topped with a generous slice of bread pork with picked vegetables and Japanese Curry. The curry potato are also soft.

Starting from only $14.80 onwards, all set meal comes with free flow Japanese salad, 3 pcs normal gyoza and miso soup.
.
Some of their popular set meal choices include:
.
Tendon Set $18.80 that comes with an assortment of crisp and deliciously battered vegetables and prawns. .
Salmon Saba Donburi $17.80 with the saba snatching the highlight from the salmon this time! It is rare to consume a saba with such moist flesh with slight visible fats.
.
Gyu Kakuni $20.80 has a mix of tender pork belly and beef slices. A suitable option for meat lovers who could not decide between pork or beef. .
.
You might also choose add on a couple of sides such as the Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings with House Miso $8.80, Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings with Mentaiko Miso $9.80 or the Japanese Nanban Chicken $6.80. These dumplings were their highlights as well since they called themselves Gyoza-Ya. No doubt they were definitely bold in taste. .

Slather anything in mentaiko and instantly the dish becomes a star in my eyes. Gyoza-Ya's Pan-fried pork Dumplings slathered in Mentaiko Miso is no exception.

What I always order when I visit Gyoza-Ya. Their garlic fried rice is fragrant to a bomb and what I consider comfort food.

.
Fairly large, tender, moist fillet of freshwater eel, which is nicely glazed with a rich, thick, sweet savoury tangy sauce. Overlaid on a bed of fluffy sticky white rice.
.
Generally middle-of-the-road here, simple, yet comforting.
