The kway teow had a lovely wok hei, and was so flavourful. The noodles were also “wet” enough, which made it easy to eat.

A very simple dinner of the day! Cheap and good to dine although the rice a bit oily. Overall: 4.5/5

Awesome halal carrot cake. Bf was sick, but could still taste the flavours of sweetness, saltiness and spiciness altogether. Indeed hard to find good carrot cakes without using lard.

Standard has dropped at Soon Lee stall. Cockles have shrunk and the dish is not as tasty as it used to be.

Green Sky is known by many as having one of the best oyster omelettes you can find in Singapore. The omelette here is crispy, eggy and most importantly, loaded with fresh, plump oysters you can't get enough of. Also get the char kway teow — it's not too wet, extremely tasty, and full of cockles and bean sprouts that add a lovely crunch. Make sure you do not mix up Green Sky with Soon Lee, another stall with a similar signboard serving oyster omelette!
