Just Lovely
Love the warm and friendly service at this Italian bistro ran by a couple of Italian guys.
[Katong] Another simple dish done well with al-dente tagliatelle ($16.90) and a meaty beef ragu which had just enough tang to balance the richness of the sauce.
[Tanjong Katong] The pesto ($16.90) was light yet it retained the fresh and savoury flavours of the herbs; with small bursts of sweetness from the cherry tomatoes.
[Tanjong Katong] Sometimes less is more, and the simple combination of pecorino and black pepper in the Cacio e Pepe ($16.90) is a showcase of the satisfying marriage between savoury flavours—with the saltiness of the cheese and sharp heat of pepper delighting the tastebuds.
[Tanjong Katong] I don’t usually have nuts on my pizza, but the Bologna ($22.90) sees chopped pistachios scattered over—and it makes perfect sense since they’re found in mortadella, which is also strewn over the pizza.
