Donuts do-nut have to be sinful! Kakuida’s sells baked donuts made from rice flour from Japan mixed with “kurozu”, which is a Japanese black vinegar celebrated for its health benefits. The Original Baked Donut ($1.90) reminded me of a castella-like texture: spongy yet dense. It had just the right sweetness and even though the kurozu is mixed in the dough, I couldn’t taste an ounce of sourness. There are other flavours like matcha, chocolate, sweet potato, and you can add chocolate chips at an additional cost. Definitely going back for more! 🍩🍩🍩
