After I touched down at @ChangiAirport last week, famished after the slight delay from Ngurah Rai and thinking I could eat a lot, I proceeded to order three kong bak bao, steamed minced pork with salted fish and this mui fan.

In my defence, I ordered the smallest portion possible hor. But you know what, this supposedly small and glorious plate of fried rice with perfect wok hei in rich, luscious gravy of diced chicken, prawn and HK kai lan can feed four people lor. Still, the comfort of each mouthful is real. Ok, that's all.

Just look at how they glisten.
Typically, I never take a liking for the amuse bouche served at Chinese restaurants unless it's crispy salmon skin, more so if it's coated with salted egg yolk.
Fatty Kong ba pao, every man's romance.
I have a soft spot for sweet & sour pork.
Steamed peanuts, my favorite!
