[JB, MALAYSIA] Finally back to JB for a day trip! My friend who stayed in JB recommended us for this traditional Bak Kut Teh stall, which I thought was impressive. What's even better is their steamed fish which they are also popular for 😍

The Steamed Red Snapper (RM58.50 for 650g) was absolutely lovely. The fish itself was extremely fresh, with sweet succulent meat that paired with the soy sauce gravy well. The fried garlic on top was also fresh and putting everything together created an addictive bite! I think I can finish the whole fish on my own 😂

Their Bak Kut Teh (RM30 for 2 pax portion) came generous with ingredients, in fact more than the soup itself 😂 the pork innards like intestines, liver and various meat types were all clean and fresh, and I especially liked the pork ribs as it was really tender! The soup itself is of the sweeter kind but still packs the same herbal robustness.

The Minced Meat Tofu (RM8) was so addictive. It came drenched in a meat sauce that was so full of umami, especially the fermented bean flavour which I love! Definitely recommended to share.
