Made a #dumplings #noodles #soup #水饺 面汤 for #breakkie this morning !! Done up in less than 30mins ! Of course, dumplings are prepared way b4 and frozen. 😁

#Recipe (serves 1): For the soup:
600ml water
2 1/2 tsp chicken concentrate*
1/2 tsp hondashi**
1 tsp shallot oil
Dash of pepper
1 serving of wonton noodles
3-4 slices fishcake (optional)
3-4 pcs dumplings
Some green vege

For the dumplings (able to make approx 20 pcs, balance can be frozen for future use):
200g minced meat
130g minced prawn meat
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp shaoxing wine
20 pcs water chestnuts, diced
3 stalks of spring onions, diced
15-20 pcs of dumplings skin
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp pepper
2 tsp corn flour
1 tsp sesame oil

Method:
1) Add water to pot and cook till boils. Add shallot oil and blanch green vege. Remove green vege once done.
2) Add chicken concentrate, hondashi and pepper.
3) Add in wonton noodles and cook for approx 2-3mins until softened.
4) Drain noodles and place in bowl of ice water briefly. Drain and set aside.
5) Cook dumplings and fishcakes. Remove from flame once done. Add the soup and dumplings to the noodles with the green vege. Tuck in !! *can be replaced with ready chicken stock + water.
**hondashi can be purchased from jap supermarket.
