Although I was initially a little sceptical as to whether the newly-opened Tempura Kohaku could live up to Ginza (no tempura egg!), this turned out to be surprisingly good! The tempura is freshly fried, with a thin, crisp batter. Ingredients were fresh and portion was quite substantial. The spicy sauce was a nice addition, providing a nice kick to the sweet sauce and the dish overall. The queue is still terribly long, so those who are on the fence may want to wait till the hype dies down.
