“Curry Mee” was on top of my must-eats in Ipoh. I got to satisfy that craving at “Restoran SFF” this morning. The coffeeshop, located at 18 Hala Datoh 5 (off Jalan Leong Boon Swee) is only a few steps from the stylish M Boutique Hotel.
With a thick, spicy gravy that’s remarkably fragrant with spices, the Curry Mee here exceeded my expectations. I tried both the dry and soup versions and found them equally delicious. They come topped with slices of “char siew” and the noodles (you can choose from “beehoon”, yellow mee and “hor fun”) have the crunchy company of Ipoh’s famous fat beansprouts too.
if you visit on the weekend, be prepared to wait for a table and your food order because this is quite understandably, a very popular eating spot even with the locals.
