Woo's Ricebox has washed up on the shores of sunny Singapore at Ocean Financial Centre and it has already become a firm CBD lunch horde favorite. At $9.90, this Railway Rice Box isn't the cheapest dining option around, but it's still pretty affordable.

But is it worth the cash you're shelling out? Oh most definitely! A sizable succulent and tender portion of braised pork chop sitting atop a bed of fluffy rice, broccoli and stir fried cabbage, preserved veggies, half a braised egg and a square of tau kwa, makes this a (relatively) healthy and wholesome bento. The pork chop is stuffed full of superbly savory flavor and is tastefully tender, eliminating the need for you to host a tug-of-war match between the piece of porcine and your teeth.

Oddly enough, the other element that stood out was the rice. Reminiscent of Japanese short grain rice in terms of texture and fluffiness, it is considerably less wet and sticky and is a pure joy to eat. Oh, and the preserved veg was pretty darn decent too. All aboard the hype train, we're on a one way trip to palate pleasing paradise!
