Bak Kut Teh (which translates to "meat bone tea"), is a pork rib soup boiled with herbs (like star anise, cinnamon, cloves, fennel) and garlic for hours. Any KL-ite will tell you that the best version can be found in Klang, a 40-minute drive out of the city. If you don't have the time, swing by this spot in Petaling Jaya instead for a brunch or lunch trip. Have the Signature Bak Kut Teh (from RM30, two pax) that's loaded with pork belly and ribs in a light broth packed with herbal notes. To complete the meal, order the Onion Rice (from RM1) and the homemade Fried Bean Curd (from RM8) simmering in herbal soup. Fun fact: While its name implies that tea is used in the dish, it is in fact a nod to the Chinese tea that is customarily served with the meal to help digestion.
